| Artrageous is by the Eclipse award champion (1999) and track record setting sprinter Artax out of the accomplished Alysheba mare Treize. Trieze is the dam of Brancusi, who was 2nd in the Bluegrass Stakes (G1) before running in the Kentucky Derby in 2003. His granddam, Treizieme, was an outstanding turf mare winning G1 turf races in France and produced stakes winning foals herself. "Arty" is a bay minimal sabino (white lower lip, white in his tail, scattered white hairs throughout coat) and has two famous sabino stallions in his pedigree as well: Marquetry (his grandsire on his sire's side) who won over 2.8 million on the track and The Minstrel (his great grandsire on his dam's side) who won over half a million on the track. We just love this stallion and cannot say enough about him. He has an excellent disposition and is pastured with his "harem" of mares. Most people cannot believe how well behaved he is especially at shows with other horses all around him. He is always the perfect gentleman. Arty has done a bit of eventing and has done quite well. He is a fabulous jumper with a ton of scope and has an excellent free shoulder. Arty has consistently stamped his foals with his gorgeous head and great disposition so far and we are anxious to see how they mature! Mare care available.
