How to Use ThoroughbredsUSA.com

Originally this was intending to showcase farms, but we are finding that not everyone is familiar with selling a horse online

Using our site is easy. Here's How!

Finding your ultimate athlete:

  1. User the Quick Search Box to look for horses in your price range, area and discipline. Or, Click on the halter plate that says horses to do a more involved search.
  2. To find out more information on a horse that you like, just click on the title or photograph of the listing. This will take you to the next page on the horse where you will find more photographs, the price, size, breeding, etc. Tabs at the top of the page will take you to video's (if posted) and the seller's contact info!

How to post your horse for sale:

  1. Create an Account by going to post an ad. The form will ask you for your name, address and contact info. An email address is required as this is how our website identifies your account. The actual listing will show with whatever name you have listed in your information. City, State and Phone numbers will display if listed. Your email address is hidden (to prevent spamming). A user may contact you through the 'contact seller via email' hyperlink.
  2. Once you have filled out this form, the site will take you to the listing page where it will show you the type (how many photos and/or videos you may post) and the price.
  3. Once you finish your listing, you will be taken to our secure payment page. Your payment will be processed by Authorize.net, we do not store any credit card information on site.

That's it, your done! An easy and quick way to get your horse out in the market.

Here's what we suggest to get more clicks on your ad:

  1. Use the best possible photographs and video. In our experience, many buyers that see a video may buy the horse directly from the ad, saving both the buyer and seller time and money
  2. Check around to see what is a fair market price for the age, training and breeding of your horse. Many times if too low, people will wonder whats wrong with it. Too high and you may not receive any inquiries. Again from our experience, many buyers like to see a price of some type. Leaving the price box empty discourages potential buyers from calling!

We want to make your experience at ThoroughbredsUSA.com as simple and user friendly as possible. Please email us if you have difficulties using the site or need assistance in posting your ad.

Thanks from the ThoroughbredsUSA.com Team!
